We’ve all been bombarded with the idea of “Christmas in July”
for years. I have resisted this form of celebration until now. I love
Christmas. I love the religious aspects,
the family aspects, the societal celebrations and heightened awareness of love,
peace, gift giving, and community
Basically speaking, I like Christmas in the month of
December. And I like it a lot. And I’ve been more than satisfied with leaving
it right there. Not in July.
However…
The world is a mess. So much pain and fear.. so much
exhaustion from the pandemic, angst about politics and philosophical differences
in law, so much gun violence, so much devastation from fires, tornadoes,
flooding, and dangerous heat.
I think we need a little reminder of joy. In July.
And there’s nothing more joyful than hopeful love, stories
of healing and gratitude, all the things
we bring to our books.
I’m listing my Christmas novellas, sweet short romance reads set all over the USA. I hope
they bring someone a little joy! All are available on my website www.ChristineBush.com , or through Amazon in ebook and in print!
What brings you joy these days? I’d love to hear!
