The beginning of summer by Josie Riviera

June marks the official beginning of the summer season, and it’s time to enjoy the upcoming warm nights and warmer days.
But first, yesterday was Father’s Day! A day to celebrate all the special fathers in our lives. Some of our fathers taught us how to play ball and ride bikes as children. And later how to mow the lawn (yeah, thanks dad) and drive. To giving advice or listening with an empathetic ear, there’s no doubt that fathers are important. I hope you had the opportunity to thank that special dad, and/or to reminisce about any extraordinary moments that you and your father shared.

Now, look ahead to relaxing sunny days, picnics, games of catch in the yard with our children, or, perhaps, horseback riding. (My heroine in my newest romance is an equine therapist.)
Together, we’re resilient, so let's make the most of every summer day.

Belle stirs the ashes of Andrew’s loneliness, but his first priority is doing whatever’s necessary to keep his daughter’s favorite equine therapist from drifting away. He never expected, when he set out to build the barn of Belle’s dreams, that he’d be building something else. A home for their hearts.

  1. Hi I have been horseback riding. My favorite thing about summer is the longer days, more sunshine, no winter coats, walking on the beach, swimming......

  4. Yes, I’ve been horseback riding. I loved it when I was a kid. I don’t care for it anymore though. The last time I rode, it killed my knees. I couldn’t wait to get off that horse. Maybe the horse was too big or my knees just couldn’t handle it I don’t know.
