What Makes You Smile? by Pat Simmons

I'm smiling as I write this blog. Dogs really are a family's best friend. When the lockdown  because of pandemic began, my daughter States away from home alone. Neither my son nor daughter are married, and have children..

"Mom, COVID is hard on single people living in an apartment."

As the Stay-at-Home order continued, my daughter, Simi, decided it was time to get a dog--miniature goldendoddle  when he was weaned from his mother at six weeks. I said snickerdoddle for the longest. Lol.  He has taught my daughter that she needs sharpen her parenting skills (another smile, actually belly-aching laughter). Pictures and videos of each stage of his development has been met with fascination, humor and aw moments.

Months ago, Avery learned the power of his bark and he tested it on anyone walking outside her door or outside on the sideway. It was hilarious, because his bark is bigger than his bite.

So here's to celebrate his first birthday, Dr. Avery Bennett Simmons and his best friend Buddy.

Whenever Simi calls and relays his antics, I have to laugh. When they fly home for Thanksgiving, if the Lord wills, I'll have a doggie bed waiting for him and a toy.
Yep, this is our fearless little thirteen pound tiger unless it's a bigger dog. :)
Made you smile!
