Women Who Work.... by Christine Bush

One thing  I love about romance novels are the many careers our heroines can have these days.  Women are so amazing!

I love variety in the books I read, but I also like to write about a variety of careers.

My heroines have been  nurses, teachers, librarians, and corporate executives.

They have been swim instructors, realtors, newspaper reporters and doctors.

They have been busy moms, home raising their children.. Or other people’s children. They rescue pets.

They have been veterinarians, army vets, and physical therapists.

They have been artists, writers, and innkeepers.

This list keeps growing. To me, this demonstrates the point that women are complex, diversified, productive in this thing called life. Plus, it shows that romance is for everybody.  I like that.

How about you?  What kind of heroines (and/or heroes) do you like to read/write about?

I’d love to know!

Want to read a romantic mystery about a veterinarian?  It'll warm your heart.  And features a very special goat named "Billy". Check out "Noah's Bark" and let me know what you think!
