February is already here. How did that happen so quickly?
The weeks between Halloween and New Year always fly by. There have always been book deadlines during those months, plus the holidays to prepare for, and special family events as well.
Two of our boys, and now our two newest grandbabies have December birthdays. We have all of the joys of Christmas plus four birthdays to celebrate within two weeks! Life is full, for which I am so grateful.
What are you looking forward to this year?
I am looking forward to not scheduling any book deadlines in November or December, because that adds too much stress at a busy time time of the year. I'd like to be able to savor those birthdays and the true meaning of Christmas. And enjoy time with family, without working into the wee hours.
My other hope is that I can finally achieve the dream of truly downsizing. My husband is more of a minimalist, while I am a sentimental "saver."
I bought The Art of Swedish Death Cleaning long ago, and though we have no plans to move, it must be such a feeling a joy to give away so much of what one accumulates over the years. Yet...those sentimental feelings make it difficult.
Are you better at this than me? Do you have any suggestions?
