The
Sweet Romance Authors decided we should reintroduce ourselves on the blog.
I am pleased to reintroduce myself to our wonderful SRR community of readers
and authors.
Here’s my official bio:
Josie Riviera is a USA TODAY Bestselling Author of contemporary,
inspirational, and historical sweet romances that read like Hallmark
movies. She lives in the Charlotte, NC, area with her wonderfully
supportive husband. They share their home with an adorable Shih Tzu who
constantly needs grooming and live in an old house forever needing
renovations.
Here’s some personal
information:
1. I was born in upstate New York.
My husband and I relocated to the sunny south twenty years ago.
I am a professional pianist,
which is why you’ll always see music references throughout my books. In my sweet romance novella, Candleglow and Mistletoe, the heroine is a professional pianist.
This book is also on audio and narrated by a lovely friend.
2. Both of my adult sons are
professional musicians.
3. And my dear husband doesn’t read
a note of music!
4. My husband and I adopted our
beautiful daughter from S. Korea. Currently, she is pursuing her Master’s degree in
Marketing and Business in Ireland. She was my inspiration for I Love You More, a story about international adoption. This book is on audio and also narrated by my lovely friend.
Those who follow me on Instagram know that I’ve
traveled to Ireland many times!
My current novel, Oh Danny Boy,
is set in Ireland, and slated for publication soon. Oh Danny Boy is
currently in the Kindle Scout program. If you haven’t nominated the book, I’d
appreciate if you could click here. If selected, anyone who nominates the book
will receive the book free!
Many thanks in advance for the nomination.
And, my current WIP is A Portuguese
Christmas, for the SRR boxed set. My husband and I visited our daughter in Portugal over her winter break and escaped the rainy, cold Irish weather.
So, there’s lots of firsthand
experience from both Ireland and Portugal in my books.
Besides contemporary sweet
romances, I also write historical inspirational romances.
I researched Seeking Patience, my Regency Inspirational romance, for over two years, and learned a
great deal about the Romany (Gypsy) culture. Seeking Patience features a Gypsy
hero. This book is also on audio, and I love my narrator's British accent!
Seeking Catherine is a sweet/spicy short story romance set in the Tudor era, and the hero is a Romany. (Gypsy) Again, I love my British narrator's accent! If you subscribe to my newsletter, you'll receive this ebook for FREE!
Have I mentioned that I love fairy tales and anything Disney? A Snowy White Christmas
What's coming up:
Stay tuned for my sweet romance novella, A Portuguese Christmas, for our SRR Christmas box, as well as a full-length novel featuring a
Gypsy heroine. The working title is Seeking
Fortune.
Many thanks for stopping by. Your comments are appreciated.

Josie, wow, you write a lot of different genres. It's so nice to hear about your stories. I love the fairy tale idea. Thanks for sharing with us.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mary. Please note that I don't write fairy tales, but I certainly had fun writing A Snowy White Christmas. :)
