Happy Valentine's Day

Besides being Valentine's Day, this is also my wedding anniversary. Here's a photo of my husband and me cutting our wedding cake. The cake didn't taste very good, but the marriage has been splendid. Not without it's ups and downs, but I would do it all over again.
Here we are forty-two years later.  We're grayer and more wrinkled, but still having fun together.

Since our anniversary is on Valentine's Day, we often keep things pretty low key. For a number of years we bought something for our house. Here is my favorite, our grandfather clock

What special thing do you do on Valentine's Day, or do you not celebrate? I'm celebrating this year with a 99-cent sale on the first book in my Front Porch Promises series, A PLACE TO CALL HOME. Click on the title to find the buy links.
For more celebration, I'm giving away the three books from my Village of Hope series to one person who leaves a comment.

  4. Happy Anniversary to you two sweethearts! And Happy Anniversary! My hubby & I are low-key, eating soup & sandwiches by candlelight, a tradition we started for our children to make cherished memories for them. We prefer to hand-make and taylor our Valentines for each loved one! But each day we celebrate not only our love for each other, but God's wondrous love for us!

    2. I’m a divorced mother of two living with my oldest daughter & her two little boys. We make the holidays all about them. 1$ store decorations, some fun treats & a stuffed animal (they are almost 4 & 6). Happy Valentines Day to everyone.
