August has been a very busy month for me! I had FOUR releases this month. The first one was my latest Harlequin Medical Romance release, Risking it All with the Paramedic. This is a story I've mentioned here a few times as the setting is a veteran legacy flight trip to Normandy, France. I love that I get to draw from real life to give varied settings to my stories and this one was certainly that.
Two weeks of temptation for the medical volunteers!
FROM FRANCE TO FOREVER?
When unlucky-in-love doctor Ivy leads a medical team on a veterans’ trip to Normandy, her sole thought is for the patients in her care. So she’s unprepared for the frisson of attraction she feels at meeting fellow volunteer Caleb! It’s clear the good-looking paramedic has ghosts of his own, but over the two weeks they’re together, an undeniable connection forms… Only when they return home, will they be brave enough to risk everything and turn temporary…into happy-ever-after?
And, on August 14th, Tule Publishing released the first three stories of my Wrapped Up in Christmas series. Wrapped Up in Christmas, Wrapped Up in Christmas Joy, & Wrapped Up in Christmas Hope. As these stories incorporate so many things that I love, I often call them the books of my heart. Christmas, military background characters, sweet romance, laugh-out-loud moments, moments that tug at your heart...sigh, did I mention that I love these stories?
The first of the series is Wrapped Up in Christmas. Here's the blurb:
This Christmas brings an unexpected gift…
For years, quilt making has been Sarah Smith’s creative outlet. When she starts donating her one-of-a-kind quilts to hospitalized wounded warriors, she hopes her artistic designs will bring the soldiers peace and the knowledge that their service is appreciated. But this holiday season, Sarah finds herself mired in an arm-length repair list for the B&B she’s hoping to open.
Former Army Ranger Bodie Lewis knows he’s lucky to be alive. But he’s struggling to adjust to civilian life after his injury and mired in survivor guilt. Needing a distraction, he sets out on a private mission to thank the quilt maker for her gift that comforted him during his recovery. He’s hoping he can do a good deed in return. Bodie’s stunned the artist is a young, beautiful woman and amused she mistakes him for the handyman.
Bodie works on Sarah’s home repairs and soon her sweetness and Christmas spirit imbue him with something he thought he left on the battlefield…hope.
August has sure been busy with these book releases. How about you? Has August been a busy month or a more relaxing one?
WRAPPED UP IN CHRISTMAS LOVE is coming November 2024 from Tule Publishing
