Where’s Christmas?
I love everything about Christmas! I’ve almost always lived in the northeast part of the USA.
Here we have 4 distinct seasons, and winter is a dramatic one. It’s cold and often white, and evergreens can
be seen growing along many roads.
This can make our Christmas setting a bit like a Currier and
Ives postcard: Snowflakes falling, cozy Christmas pajamas sitting around a
roaring fireplace, and Santa landing on a snow covered roof.
My first Christmas stories were set in this environment.
But then, I realized that there are many other types of Christmas
climates! And Christmas is special,
whereever it is celebrated. Have you
read these?
Christmas Holly is set on a small island off the coast of
South Carolina. Christmas on the beach!
Christmas Rose is set on the desert in Nevada, home of
cactus and brilliant sun!
Christmas Laurel is set in the quiet Smoky Mountains in North
Carolina.
ALL OF THESE CAN BE FOUND IN PRINT AND EBOOK AT CHRISTINEBUSH.COM!
I’m planning a few more.
A resort in Hawaii? A ranch in Montana?
What’s the “Christmas climate” for you? And is
there a location you’d like to explore in a Christmas story? I’d love to hear!
And have a merry, merry Christmas season, wherever you are!
