There are few things as romantic as a cozy sleigh ride.
Imagine a brisk winter evening, a bright full moon, and a few inches of glistening snow that crunches as the sleigh glides across. Bundled in coats, mittens and scarves, my husband and I snuggle into the velvet seat with a cozy blanket for our laps.
The attendant brings us a thermos of hot chocolate. She pours the first cup, leaving the rest for us to enjoy during our ride. Rich and creamy, the hot chocolate smells heavenly. Now we're ready!
The driver "clicks" and off the horse goes, taking us on our holiday adventure. We wind down the snowy trails until we glimpse a river through the pine trees. My husband and I hold hands beneath the blanket as we take in the scenic views.
