Tonight's Meteor Shower by Cindy Flores Martinez

Heads up! There's a meteor shower happening tonight. If you haven't already heard, the Perseid Meteor Shower has been dazzling the nighttime sky. The peak is going to last until the early hours of the 13th.

While you're looking up, you might spot the fading NEOWISE comet below the Big Dipper. I first saw it a couple of weeks ago. It was spectacular! August has been such an exciting time for stargazers.

What about you? Have you seen the comet or meteor shower? Do you enjoy gazing at the night sky?

  1. When my boys were little we all went outside very late at night to watch a meteor shower. I don't recall which one it was.
We won't be able to see the one tonight. After days and days of sunshine it's cloudy today.

  2. I love gazing at the night sky, Cindy. My husband even bought me a telescope this past Christmas. :)

  3. We had cloudy weather in the evening, so we can't see stuff. Wish those clouds would bring us rain.
