"Just sayings..." by Christine Bush

Through my whole life, certain sayings have caught my attention.  Many come from my wise mom, and wise grandmother. Sometimes today, it’s a meme on Facebook! Some make me laugh (I like to laugh), some make me mad (I hate politics lately) and some can really inspire (and I need this).

Some have found their way into my long term memory, ready to be called up when life is tough.   Here’s a few on my list:

“Stuff happens!”Life is full of ups and downs, the good and the bad, for everybody. Accept it, and  move on!

“If at first you don’t succeed, try, try, again!”
“Patience is a virtue.”

Life takes determination, perseverance, and often, a willingness to wait. This can be a challenge for me to be sure!

“Look before you leap.”

“To fail to plan is to plan to fail!”

Take the time to think things through. Have a plan, even a flexible plan.

“A single arrow is easily broken, but not ten in a bundle”

I’m grateful for my family, my friends, my tribe, who have my back and my heart. Together is better.

“Resentment is like taking poison and expecting the other guy to die.”

Acceptance, forgiveness, and letting go have proven to be good all around!

"Most people are about as happy as they decide to be!"
So much of life success is about attitude!

“What goes around comes around.”

“Treat others as you’d like to be treated.”

No matter what the situation or the stresses, it’s good to remember who we are, and take the high road. It’s nice to be nice. No matter what.
Be kind!

How about you?  I’d love to hear any words of wisdom that can help you through the day! Share away!

Christine's  brand new sweet romance novella is here!  Check out “Hannah’s Heart”, available in print and ebook. It’s the heartwarming story of Hannah and Grady, and I promise, there are LOTS of pets involved!

  1. I love all these sayings, Christine. My father-in-law always used to say: "What goes around, comes around." Best wishes on your latest release!

  2. I don't know if it's a wise saying or not, but I often catch myself saying "it is what it is."
