Is your pet naughty or nice?

Many of you know that my husband and I inherited Henry, an adorable shih tzu, when our daughter attended university in Ireland.

Henry is a sweet dog and seldom gets into mischief. However, especially during the holiday season, he gets excited whenever we have guests and jumps and barks for the first couple minutes.

This month, I’ve compiled some of my favorite animal pictures photographed at Christmastime. You decide if they’re naughty or nice.

Do you have a pet? Naughty or nice? Please share your comments below.

In my sweet romance novella, 1-800-CHRISTMAS, the second book in my home-flipping series, Desiree, the heroine purchased a run-down Queen Style home, and the hero is a contractor.

On Christmas Eve, Desiree’s sister brings a surprise gift. Can you guess what it is?

Taking the high road is a whole lot easier with someone to love…

Attorney Desiree Contando can think of only one word to describe her very first home. Disaster. The vintage Queen Anne is beautiful—or will be, in about a thousand years. Certainly not in time to host the family Christmas gathering.

“Disaster” also describes the bad breakup that left her picket-fence vision in tatters. Even the carpenter she’s hired is a reminder of lost dreams—the high school crush who never spared her a passing glance. But she’s a grownup now, perfectly capable of keeping things professional.

Keiran O’Malley is back in Roses, North Carolina, lugging his own shattered dreams of home and family. Until he’s on his feet and ready to open his own Irish pub, serendipity finds him an attic apartment in Desiree’s fixer upper in exchange for his remodeling skills.

Roses is all polished up for the holidays, but nothing outshines the Cinderella beauty who owns the house. The spin of warmth between them is instantaneous…but their broken hearts may not be strong enough to build happiness on, especially when the past shows up to demand its share.

When two hearts get in a jam, it’ll take more than whiskey cake to sweeten the deal.

  1. I have two doggies. A chocolate lab mix who is a rescue and a mini labradoodle. Both are very smart. The only naughty thing they do is chew up paper that falls on the floor. I gave got to take a Christmas picture of them.

  5. We have no pets now, but we used to have a cat who loved to sleep under the Christmas tree. He also batted at a few low-hanging ornaments, so I always put the breakable ones up high.

  6. My cat won't stay still long enough for me to take a photo.

  7. I have a house cat who will not keep her feet on the floor. She springs up on cabinets and climbs to the top of glass front cabinets--even a china cabinet with sliding glass doors. She puts her claws in my curtains and blinds have to be raised up halfway. She's a little over a year old. I'll be glad when she quits being so naughty. She's a good living heat pad when she sleeps near my knees.

  9. It depends on the day in this multi-cat household. There are times that they can be complete angels and then turn around and get into anything and everything!

  10. We have a calico, Patches, and she's definitely nice especially considering that she ate the cat food on our porch for awhile and then adopted us. The neighbor's cat that moves in with us for the cold months is also a sweetie. (The neighbors know where the cat is, and he has a very good home with them. They may not think he's such a good cat!)

    1. Such a sweet story, Lisa, and funny about the "adoption." I well remember when we had a cat who "adopted" our family.
