Lyn Cote Reviews Kathryn Springer's The Hearts We Mend

Here's another excellent sweet romance. If you enjoy heartfelt and honest romance with a message of love and hope, this one's for you!

The Hearts We MendThe Hearts We Mend by Kathryn Springer
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is not the first book by Kathyrn Springer that I've read. I do call her a friend but I don't think that means I can't give an honest review and I did receive my copy from the pbulisher. I can't help it if I have firends who are really good writers too!

This is a tender, roamntic story of two unlikely people falling in love. Some characters are from the first book in the Banister Falls series, The Dandelion Field. The series is set in NE WI, an unusual but beautiful setting.

The hero is a man with a past and the heroine is a woman who lives in the past. The breaking down the barriers that separate them was artfully and realistically portrayed.

One thing I really appreciate about Kathryn Springer's stories is that not everyone is upper middle class with a college education. She has lively and realistic characters that face honest real world problems. But Kathryn does not write about despair but about hope.

I highly recommend this book and the first The Dandelion Field and any other Kathryn Springer romance you find!
