About
a year ago I started a fun photo project. I walk around my neighborhood or
anyplace I happen to be and take pictures with my iPhone. I look for little
things that anyone else might miss. It could be a scatter of fallen leaves or
the roots of a tree. Unusual things, different angles, super close-ups. I am
usually drawn to bright colors and patterns. I post my favorites on Pinterest,
with cute titles.
I
showed my pictures to a friend who is a professional photographer and he seemed
impressed. Said I had a good eye, which I appreciate since honestly I have no
idea what I’m doing, other than finding things make me stop and look closer.

Kristin, what a fun project! So many times I see something or walk past something that catches my eye and don't even think to snap a quick picture. It would actually be a great thing to do for my Instagram. The one fun project I've been wanting to get started on for so long is restoring/renovating an old doll house I picked up at an antique shop. It's a big wooden one with 6 rooms and it needs new carpeting, wallpaper and furniture. It's something I've wanted to do for years and after I finally found the house I've yet to find the time to start it. Maybe in between book projects but I'm not giving up. Great post!
