Greetings from Down Under by Merrillee Whren

This is Uluru or Ayers Rock in Australia. I took this photo while we waited for the sunrise, but the cloud cover made the sunrise less than spectacular. This area of the Australian Outback receives very little rain, but we have had rain all three days while visiting here. We missed some things because of the rain, but we saw some water holes that were filled with water when normally they have very little water in them. The photo below shows one of them. It's hard to tell where the rock ends and the water begins because of the reflection.

I've done a lot of traveling in recent years, and little by little I'm trying to incorporate some of that travel into my stories. I have a mountain of information to use. Traveling is fun, fun, fun research.
