Today I'm remembering some of my dearest friends who have gone on.
First is V-8, our shelter cat who was with us 2003 to 2021, our longest lived cat. He was the most amiable cat we'd ever had and you can see he helped me with my writing!
Another cat Mutzie was my mother in law's cat whom we had promised to take if she pre-deceased him. Mutzie is Kitty in Slovenian. My husband's grandparents immigrated from there just before WW1. So all their cats were Mutzie. He was a cat with a sense of humor! He made me laugh on purpose! He was with us 2009-2014. I miss his tricks.
And here is my husband with Tricksy, our daughter's cat who had bonded with V-8 and wouldn't move with her when she finally found an apartment. He and V-8 were an unusual bonded pair--2 males not born in the same litter. He was a rambunctious cat but never mean. Just lots of energy! He was with us from 2006-2020.
