Another Birthday in the Books by Pat Simmons

It seems like I just celebrated a birthday months ago. Time is racing by, but wait. I have an ambitious writing schedule planned this year and I need 365 days to take a Sunday stroll to finish my goals with God's grace. It's not that I'm getting older. No, it's my characters!
The cast in my first novel, Guilty of Love, published in 2007, was grandparents, parents, and three sons: Parke, Malcolm, and Cameron. Simple to imagine, right? All single and handsome men. Then they got married and began to have children. Oh, by the way, the Jamieson brothers had cousins: Kidd, Ace, and Queen. And yeah, they got married, too, and had children. Of course, the incomparable Grandma BB shined every time her Stacy Adams-wearing shoes stepped into any of their paths. So, how do I know it's time to end the series? When I can't match the children to the correct parents. And it seems like yesterday when they were born. It may be a familiar saying, but it's true, even in fiction, because in each novel, the babies grew into young children, then teenagers and are now old enough to date.
Big announcement: The Jamieson Legacy series will conclude with 16 books. Hold the tears. A new series, the Robnett Royalty, is a spinoff of cousins on the Jamieson maternal side. Whew. Yep, and it's a lot of them too. But with age, comes wisdom, no more than two children per couple--LOL. I've learned my lessons. ---------
