Lyn Cote Asks: Have You Ever Visited a National Park?

I have! I love seeing how many National Parks I can visit. So far I've visited Yosemite, Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Rocky Mt, Mt Ranier, Jean Lafitte's, Apostle Islands, Skagway, and San Marco Fort. And maybe some I don't recall! Oh, the Everglades too! Oh, and the Sequoia National Park, I keep recalling more!Mt. Ranier

So have you visited a national park? Which one impressed you most or at which one did something funny or memorable take place for you and your family? I'm about to go to another one in June. I will tell you all about it when I return. Leave a comment today and drop back in a month to see what I have to relate!--Lyn

  1. Lyn,
My husband and I visited Denali national park on our recent trip to Alaska. Although we didn't see any wildlife, the park was breathtaking!

    1. We were disappointed in Denali because we saw no wildlife and the weather was cold and dreary. We couldn't see the mountain because of the clouds. This was in July.

  2. I couldn't have said which national parks I've visited over the years, so I hunted up a list of all of them. Here are some that I've visited Alcatraz Island (yes, it's a national park!), Antietam National Battlefield, Assateague Island, Blue Ridge, Bluestone, C&O Canal Park... wow, I've visited a lot and only reached to the Cs. Here's a link to the list I found: https://www.nationalparks.org/explore-parks/all-parks

  4. Lyn - My husband, son, and I visited quite a number of national parks. Did you know there's a newly-designated national park in my home state, Indiana? INDIANA DUNES. Amazing place: https://www.nps.gov/indu/index.htm

  6. Seeing all the national parks is my goal, but I probably won't get to all of them. I'll try to get to many of them as I can. They have to quit adding them. Stuff that wasn't a national park is now a national park. So I can't keep up. Last year we took our friends to all 5 parks in Utah as well as the Grand Canyon, the Petrified Forest, and Saguaro National Park here in Arizona. We had already been to all of them except two in Utah, Canyonlands and Arches.

  7. Only three, but I they are all so important, which is why we cannot let them be opened up to mining.
