What is it about spring that makes it often a person’s favorite season? It is my favorite season. It has come to Oklahoma weeks earlier. The next several days are going to be in the 80s. All the trees, bushes and flowers are coming out early this year. But I can't ignore that spring is also the time Oklahoma has a lot of tornados and flooding. There is no season that doesn't have problems.
Although we didn’t have a hard winter (only a couple of weeks of cold in the teens), my spirits lifted as the days get longer and different colors are splashed all over the landscape. I think spring brings hope and renewal. It is rebirth—the time we celebrate Easter every year when Christ was resurrected.
What is your favorite season and why? For any commenter on the blog or in the café, I will pick one winner to win a copy of my March book (worldwide): A Baby for the Rancher. Please leave your email address when you comment and I will contact you after March 21st.
