Maybe it's all those years of following a school calendar, but when the calendar turns to September, the air seems to change. The evenings ask for a sweater. New routines. New goals.
I think that is why September belongs to sweet romance readers. A heroine who moves back to her hometown and wonders if the door she closed years ago might still open. The hero who returns changed and hopes the people who knew him before will make room for the person he has become.
