Dreams, travels...and win a free book! ..........Roxanne Rustand

Do you have a favorite destination--a place you like to visit often, or a recurring event you enjoy?

Writers can end up being a rather solitary lot--even in the midst of raising a family and maybe even holding down a day job. Some of us write full-time and spend every day--all day--at our computers.

When a deadline looms, I can spend upwards of twelve hours a day in my home office. My husband will ask how I can work that long, but the answer is simple. No one could make me do it if I didn't love it.

But when a writer's conference like Novelists Inc comes along every year, it's a joy to leave those solitary hours behind and finally see other authors, exchange the latest industry information, and attend wonderful workshops. I look forward to it every year!

As always, I attended the Ninc conference at the Tradewinds in St. Pete's Beach, Florida a few weeks ago. Here is a sunset on the beach.

I always take extensive notes at Ninc, then type them once I get home. I ended up with 61 typed pages this year! Listening, writing notes, and then transcribing them later helps me process all of that information, because I'm not an auditory learner. Without it, all of that valuable information would flit away like butterflies. I sincerely hope you have a better memory than me!

Here's another photo from Ninc this year. Three of us in the photo are writers of Christian and clean (wholesome, or sweet) romance. Do you recognize anyone?

Before I go, I'd like to share my September release with you. Dangerous December is a heartwarming, character-driven Christian light romantic suspense, with a second chance at love.

You can find it on Amazon HERE. It's free on KU, and at a very reasonable price to buy!

Leave a comment to be entered in a drawing for a free copy of Dangerous Storm.

Wishing you my best for a beautiful autumn,

Roxanne Rustand
