The days are dark this time of year. I mean that literally. By five, we are in the house drinking tea. It’s the time of year when we sit by the fireplace. In other parts of the house, we have the candles glowing and are sitting under cozy blankets.
Before we settled in Montana, I asked my father-in-law what people do during the cold, dark season. I can still remember his Do you really need to ask expression when he said, “Read.”
Now that I live here, I get it. Long nights make wonderful reading moments.
